State Representative Mary DuBuisson was elected in December 2018 to complete an unexpired term and then was re-elected for the 2020-2024 term for District 90.
A resident of the Slidell area for 40 years, Mary is an experienced business owner, real estate investor, community volunteer, and a 12-year employee of the State House of Representatives. She and her husband Eric, a teacher, have been married for 46 years. They have two children and six grandchildren.
Mary is a member of the LA House Rural Caucus, LA Legislative Women’s Caucus, STEM Caucus, LA Republican Delegation, Slidell Noon Lion’s Club, Leadership Northshore Alumni, Slidell Athenians, St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce, Olde Towne Slidell Main Street, City of Slidell Commission on the Arts, Slidell Newcomers Club, Ozone Camellia Club, Coastal Conversation Association, and numerous Homeowners Associations.
In addition, Mary has received numerous awards related to her work in office and in the community. These include 2021 recipient of JAG’s National Government Leader Award, and most recently, the “Doc Hudson Cup of Unity and Friendship,” an honor bestowed on a member of the House of Representatives, by their colleagues, for being reliably effective in their legislative efforts while consistently maintaining the qualities of civility, humility, and decorum.
During this past Regular Legislative Session, Rep. DuBuisson proudly served on the Appropriations, Insurance, Municipal, Parochial and Cultural Affairs, and Joint Legislative Budget and Insurance Committees.
Mary looks forward to continuing to represent the people of Slidell and Pearl River in Baton Rouge for many years to come!
